Saturday. We've had quite the week of activity in the Seijezzali household.
Sunday we hit the Big Crafty and enjoyed downtown Asheville. On Monday we went to the Robert Lake Park in Montreat, a gorgeous park with a creek running through it that the kids can play in. Tuesday we visited with our friend AP and his family and enjoyed the compound they recently purchased. We spent a lot of time in the pool! We also enjoyed some time with friends like Braden and Liam and Maggie and Juliana and Gabe. We even came to work with Dad and played with some new friends and even watched Lion King 1 1/2 (not too bad). We finished off the week at the latest hip place to hang n Asheville, the New Belgium party near the French Broad River complete with food trucks, live music and of course, beer. Shannon had completed a successful day at the city retreat with all of the big wigs and was in a fantastic mood. She is rubbing elbows with the people that should be offering her a job soon. I'm just enjoying the summer like a teacher should. I even went out to a show Thursday night featuring Blowfly, a Miami artist from the past who inspired a generation of artists like Two Live Crew to be as nasty as they want to be.
Now we gear up for some babysitting and for chores. But I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that we are trying to sell our home and upgrade to a new place. It's been consuming our lives (mostly Shannon's) for the past six months. We have it on the market and now we must wait for someone to buy it. So goes the summer of 2012.
