We had a photo session with the kids a few weeks back. Enjoy.

Lucca Smiling!
More elusive than the Loch Ness Monster has been trying to get a picture of Lucca smiling. We have one. Thanks Uncle Ted. His great grandma is proud.

Weekend Update- Sunday
We woke up well rested today. Most of Shannon's family left either Saturday night or Sunday morning. But Chris and Cora are still around so we had more fun to enjoy. We began with a walk to Buscuithead and a savory southern breakfast. Then we saddled up and took a major tour of the surrounding mountain area. We drove through Canton, hunted waterfalls in Dupont State Forest, explored Pisgah National Forest and Looking Glass Falls and took in the sights of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We topped it off with a sumptuous BBQ dinner. Safe to say we are all exhausted and ready for bed.
Weekend Recap- Saturday
We followed up a nice Friday with a great Saturday. Aunt Julie, Uncle Harold and Cousin Emma joined the fun. We walked around the River Arts Section and enjoyed lunch and all of the amazing art. We followed that up with dinner downtown and the exciting Heat game. Here are some pictures of the gang including Wes the dog.

Alice in Wonderland
Zahra's performance was last night and we were so impressed! Shannon shed tears of joy. She was so adorable. See if you can spot Z. She's one of the little Cheshire kitties. The first part of the video has the big kids dancing (they were amazing as well) and then they bring in the kitties with the change of the music. Click here to enjoy!

Family Time is Coming
We expect a full on invasion of Capezzali folks this weekend. With Grandpa Florida, Uncle Chris and Aunt Juji venturing up this weekend along with their partners and kids, it will be a madhouse in the Seijezzali home. We will be waiting with open arms. I hope to have lots of footage after everyone has left so bear with us this weekend. We'll be venturing out to restaurants, Asheville fun spots and of course, Zahra's performance in Alice and Wonderland. Should be awesome.

Lucca the Strong
This boy is a powerful one. Mama reports more movement. He swipes at his hanging toys, he is even more wiggly than ever when awake and he can get up on his elbows and raise that noggin.
Lucca is also sleeping much better. With the new medication, he seems to bob his head less. He is also making a little less noise when he sleeps though it can still be loud and stuffy sounding.
Zahra is gearing up for her performance as a Cheshire Kitty in her dance company's production of Alice in Wonderland. We will be there opening night and will have footage.
Shannon and I got a rare walking date yesterday. It was so sweet to wander around with my beloved on a gorgeous spring day. School's about to let out in 18 days or so and the sky's the limit on fun things to come.

More from the Weekend
Lucca started this weekend in the hospital but ended up at the house. Here's Lucca in his gown pre-procedure and showing off his incredible tongue. Here's Z posing with our buddy Mark and the Ultimate Championship belt.
Pleasant Weekend
It was a cooler than normal weekend in Asheville. Our family stayed warm by being active. We ran tons of errands and spent good time with one another. Shannon and Z had a mega mother/daughter day out in the yard and running around town. Lucca and I spent the day attached to one another. It helped slow me down.
I wanted to share some of Shannon's hard work with you. Other than her children, Shannon is probably proudest of her gardens. Hope you can come see them in person one day.

Update
Lucca is good to go!
He has extra tissue in his trachea which causes the labored breathing. He also suffers from acid reflux. He should outgrow this and we will treat reflux with Prilosec.

Medical Update
Pulmonary visit is in the books and here is the information. Lucca is experiencing acid reflux, which he can receive a little medication for. Lucca's head bobbing is a result of low muscle tone at the back of his throat. This causes him to have to breathe a little harder to get air. It's not affecting his oxygen levels. However, to rule out any other possible situations, he is having an exam tomorrow at the hospital. They will middy sedate him and place a tube down his throat to get a better view. The procedure is quick and should close the door on anything more serious.
So Lucca is still a healthy little baby. He is weighing in at 9 lbs 4 ounces. He is eating well and continues to do what all babies his age are supposed to do. Will update tomorrow when we find out more info about his results.

Lucca Y El Mono Part 2
Lucca really loves his playtime mat with the hanging noisy toys and the funhouse mirror. He especially likes the little purple monkey that makes squeaky sounds. Here are two pictures I find completely adorable. Not sure which one demonstrates how he feels about the monkey. You decide!

Feeding Time
Our boy loves to eat! He's been a happy feeding baby for six weeks now and his weight gain are a testament to that. In other news, we go to the lung specialist this week and hope to have some answers to that odd way Lucca moves his head while he breathes.
We are so busy! It seems like the days are starting to speed up as we are bombarded with appointments, errands, work and general life with two kids. Never a dull moment at our place.

Glorious Weekend
It's been a great long weekend. I took Friday to spend time with Z at the Daddy Field Day event at her school. Then I spent time with Lucca while Mommy did a bunch of things around the house and out and about. Then I took Lucca and Z to the WALK (West Asheville Local Kitchen) for some drinks and I met some friends from school. By the time I got home I was a little exhausted (not to mention a little tipsy from the "spirits"). I needed up passing out with Z in her bed after reading some stories.
Saturday was a little more stressful for me as I had to spend most of the day in the yard doing work. The girls had a grand old time and Shannon spent the morning running more errands. Lucca was his usual wiggly self. We ended up hanging around the house most of the day. We did go out for a nice walk later in the evening after dinner and had ice cream as a family.
Today has been the best day yet. The weather has continually warmed up and we've been outside most of the day. We went to lunch downtown, hung out with some friends at an event at MLK park and then finished off the day with Zahra's latest toys, the Slip and Slide and some water guns. Enjoy!

May Day
Lucca passed his 1st month's exam with flying colors. The pediatrician was impressed with Lucca's ability to roll over. We're so proud of the little guy!
