It's Friday and it's finally cool again as we actually got into the 50's yesterday afternoon her in Asheville. Of course it's only 22 something degrees this morning but that's a little better than the usual teens or even lower that it's been for weeks.
Today we get two special visitors from Miami to visit for the MLK weekend. Uncle Ted is back and he's bringing our father, Tomas with him. Should be a fun weekend. I'll have tons of stuff to share as the days roll by.
In the world of Zahra, we have an ever mobile child who continues to dazzle us with her amazing talking skills. Although no words present themselves clearly, she will keep it going for hours. She is also almost exclusively feeding herself. She only likes you to feed her stuff she really likes like her yogurt. She'd eat that all day if she could. And for the mobile part, she has become an expert at maneuvering her little push cart contraption all throughout the house. She used to just get stuck at corners and dead ends. She's a regular Danica Patrick with that thing.
We are also slowly reducing the breast feeding. Shan is ready to slow down the intervals so Z isn't quite as needy and isn't suckering us with the comfort sucking. Right now she hasn't really noticed because she gets good long feeds in the morning, afternoon and before bed. Basically the snack time feedings are being cut out.
Enjoy some bath and eating moments of cuteness.
