It seems like the demands of real life have been catching up with the blog.  It's been hard to find the time to sit and type about our family adventure.  Work has been a tough thing to face on a daily basis again.  Shannon and I have been adapting to life without the family supporting us.  But through it all, Z has been great (except when she screams her head off at 3 A.M.).

Did I mention grandma is in town?  Shannon's mom, Elaine came into town on Monday, one day earlier than expected (and no one here is complaining about that!).  

It's amazing how much our little girl has changed since we brought her home.  We sat down to watch some home movies I'd taped over the holidays and she has grown so much!  It's also an amazing feeling to see her when I get home from a long day of work.  Actually, my days at work are shorter now because I usually bolt after the kids leave to see my girl.  I have a mountain of work I need to catch up to and thankfully we have two work days I plan on using to do just that. 

Other than that, things are feeling good here.  Shannon's health seems to be on the up and up and with grandma around, things are so much easier.  She'll carry us through this week and then it will be back to the three of us, but not after getting a much needed boost of energy.
