Where is Everybody?

Everyone is gone!  My family said their last goodbyes this morning and all is calm and quiet in the house.  We have had quite the journey with our respective families.  They have offered us love and support beyond our wildest imaginations.  Both grandmoms were ecstatic upon arrival and crestfallen when departing.  They love their little angel so much!  Z has joined a family full of love.

We spent our last day with my family yesterday roaming around Asheville.  We had to make a pit stop at the mall to get a new battery for the car so Z got to be a mallrat for a day.  We sat around and watched the Asheville scene unfold.  Hard to imagine her in about 12 years wanting to cruise that place.  After the mall, we zoomed over to Ed Beaudreux's Bar-B-Que joint on Biltmore Avenue.  My family and I chowed down and enjoyed some quality time there.  When we got home, we were exhausted!  Everyone plunked in front of the tube to watch Iron Man on the big screen.

It's amazing how when you walk around with a new born, people are so excited to meet her.  Folks just walk right up to us and offer their congratulations.  We didn't expect everyone around us to be affect by Z.  I guess people enjoy little babies.  They are pretty cute and cuddly.  And our girl is cute and cuddly!

So now the home is back to us three (and the animals, who are getting the short end of the stick as far as affection these days).  We look to get our routine started because I have to go to work on Monday and we need to establish some order.  Of course, there is plenty to do but I think this weekend, we will take it easy and just get the structure in place for our family.
